Grandparents' Day

Since 1987, at the initiative of the coffee brand "Grand-Mère" for its 20th anniversary, grandmothers in France have had their own day. It takes place on the first Sunday in March.

Of course, grandfathers didn't want to be left out, and that's understandable! Today, in some countries, there is something called "Grandfathers' Day." That's why this holiday is celebrated in France every first Sunday of October since 2008.

Mother's Day was made official in 1928 and Father's Day in 1952. Although Grandmother's Day and Grandfather's Day have no religious or historical origins, their dates have become firmly established in France, even without official recognition.

Therefore, Grandparents' Day is planned in France for Sunday, October 3, 2021, Sunday, October 2, 2022 and Sunday, October ^1, 2023.
